The Vision Fine Art Statue is a 1:6 piece sculpted by Erick Sosa and released in 2017 by Kotobukyia with an edition size of 1000 samples. The character floats above the remains of a destroyed building and partially passes through a large metallic beam at the right feet level, where the piece is made of a transparent resin. An elegant sculpt and a dynamic pose characterize the statue, where the bright, deep colors of the hero's suit and the captivating folds of the huge cape immediately catch the eyes and provide the piece with a awesome visual impact. Some typical traits of Sosa's style are easily recognizable: the hero's body, in fact, shows a bumped and hyper-defined musculature everywhere, with deep muscle contours on chest, abdomen and legs, while the many folds and bends of the long cloak give a considerable dynamism to the whole figure. The pose is frontal, with both the hands open, the right arm aligned along the side and the left one raised up, pointing to the same direction of the gaze. The colors are very bright and rather faithful to Comics; the green suit seems slightly texturized in the background, while the dominant, yellow patches are smooth and exhibit some intriguing, vertical strips on boots, gloves and the typical, high and rigid band, covering the abdomen of the character. The base shows two large "double-T" metallic beams and various concrete blocks, resting on a circular pedestal: in the ruins, the head and a hand of Ultron are located behind one of the beams. Also the sculpt of the face is very nice, with well defined nose, mouth and chin, some wrinkles on furrowed eyebrows, two charming white eyes and the yellow gem on the forehead which stands out on the background red color. However, in my humble opinion, the piece also shows some weak-point. In addition to some (very slight) painting imperfection occurring here and there, the coloring on the yellow parts of the suit and the long cloak is a little too much flat and should be enriched with some darker nuances, just to point out the excellent sculpt of the piece. Furthermore, some winsome details (as the transparent resin on the left foot and/or the Ultron's details on the base) are completely hidden from sight, so that their contribution to the overall aesthetics of the piece is not fully appreciable. In any case, the piece is an excellent representation of this spectacular character and a very nice collectible, worthy to be included in any Avengers team or, more in general, to appear in any good collection of Marvel statues!
